| Health Care Assistant Job Profile

As a Care Assistant in the Home
you will be working closely with the Staff Nurse in Charge, assisting
with the day to day clinical care of the residents at 'The Cottage'.
Applicants will be required to aid residents with dressing, toileting,
bathing, feeding and mobilisation if needed and the promotion of
mental and physical activities. It is the role of the Care Assistant
to change bedding and maintain the cleanliness of the resident's
bedroom. Training will be given on a regular basis with the option
of completing an NVQ if it is thought suitable, you will also be
required to take an active part in staff meetings. |
Applicants must be enthusiastic
and able to show initiative working as part of a strong team. Strong
communication, good time keeping, organisational skills and the
ability to respect the confidentiality of the residents is essential.
Candidates must have good personal hygiene and be committed and
dedicated to producing high levels of care. |
Please note that you will be required to work alternate
or some weekends. |

| Staff Nurse Job
Profile |
As Staff Nurse in the Home, you
will be responsible for the day to day clinical care of the residents
at 'The Cottage'. Duties will include maintaining and updating care
plans, and the controlling and administering of prescribed drugs
to residents. You will be encouraged and given the opportunity to
partake in training on a regular basis and be closely involved in
fellow employee's induction process. As a senior member of staff
you must be able to set a good example to other employees. |
Applicants must be RGN or RMN certified.
Applicants must be able to show initiative with the ability to work
without close supervision as well as being able to work as part
of a strong team. Time keeping, confidentiality, strong communication
and organisation skills, and a good clear telephone manner are essential.
Successful applicants must be smartly dressed and maintain good
hygiene at all times. You must be enthusiastic, self motivated and
be committed and dedicated to produce high levels of care. |
