A Welcome Statement From The Owners of the Cottage Nursing Home
Welcome to the Cottage Nursing Home's web site. Mr & Mrs Arthur are the registered providers of this Home. By profession, Mr Arthur is a qualified optician, and Mrs. Arthur is a registered nurse. Mr & Mrs Arthur have been the owners of 'The Cottage' since October 1996, when the Home was first established.The cottage is situated in the expanding village of Irchester, in Northamptonshire, and stands on 2 1/2 acres of land.
The village benefits from a range of amenities including a health centre, a chemist, a school, library, churches, shops, public houses and a country park amongst other things. "The Cottage" is a large victorian house, which was formerly a private house. This has now been converted in three major extensions, to a 53 bedded nursing home, comprising of 25 single en-suite rooms, 14 singles and 7 double bedrooms.

the National Care Standards Commission.We care for people with dementia & other
physical problems from 50 years old and above. The care is provided by our
team of dedicated and experienced nurses, care assistants and ancillary staff,
which has enabled us to gain an outstanding reputation for care in this category
in the county of Northamptonshire.
The Staff
'The Cottage' is staffed by a team of qualified first and second level nurses, who offer twenty four hour nursing care, and where required assist with bathing, dressing and medication. There are always two qualified nurses on duty during the day & one at night. A team of highly experienced social care staff and other ancillary workers support the qualified nurses.
The Cottage also has an experienced and dedicated team of cooks, all with Food Hygiene certificates, who provide a range of home made produce throughout the day, this is in the format of one or two hot cooked meals each day and a light supper in the evening.
Our experienced housekeeping staff always make every effort to ensure the Homes environment is clean and homely while the handyman & gardener ensures the fabric and content both internal and external of the building are safe and in good working order.
